The short answer is yes! As of May 4, 2021, traditional weddings are back in California. So, what are the rules? It depends on what you want. Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? Will it be at a religious facility or a banquet hall? Do you plan to have live entertainment? Here are a few important links.
- Weddings in a Place of Worship – The number of people you can have in a place of worship will depend on the current tier status for your region. You may want to keep the attendance on the low end, so you are not over capacity if the tier level changes just before your big day.
- Live Performances – The guidelines are more restrictive for indoor events, but it is still possible. Be sure to follow the link and check out the separate guidance for indoor and outdoor live events.
- Restaurants – If you are having a rehearsal dinner, this is a good section to look at. With indoor capacities still limited, you will want to be sure to reserve enough space well in advance. Also, keep in mind that the guidelines for private events will apply. A defined guestlist and assigned seating are recommended but not required.
